Set to break ground this month, Toronto’s 77 Wade is taking a high-tech approach to hybrid construction. This eight-story office building blends historic timber construction from yesteryear with the innovative possibilities of today’s advanced wood-hybrid building systems.
Once complete, 77 Wade will be the tallest mass timber office building in Canada targeting LEED Gold certification. Mass timber is decreasing the project’s environmental footprint through:
- Local timber sourcing
- Offsite prefabrication
- Biophilic design features
