Congratulations to our clients and project teams for their success at the 2020 Best Design Awards, with three Studio Pacific projects receiving accolades.
The Nelson Airport Terminal received a Gold Pin in the Built Environment category. The judges citation reads “Completely challenging the status quo of what it is to be a regional airport in New Zealand, this is a bold and cleverly articulated project that speaks to the regionalism of Nelson whilst contemporary and functional. Innovative structure and rigorous geometry combine to deliver an enticing public building that successfully acts as a gateway to its context.”
Parliamentary Play Space – a new play space sited within New Zealand’s Parliament grounds – came away with a Silver Pin in the Public and Institutional/Outdoor Spaces category.
Finally, the new VidaSpace Showroom in Wellington was awarded a Silver Pin in the Retail Environments category.
We are incredibly proud of these three projects and their recognition alongside the very best of New Zealand design.
