
Join the Timber Design Society for the ninth webinar of the Timber Design series with David Carradine. The detailing and performance of SIP systems can be significantly different to other commonly used building systems. Therefore, investigation has been conducted to ensure that SIPs-based buildings will perform adequately when subjected to the environmental conditions and natural hazards encountered in New Zealand.
Over the past 2 years, BRANZ has undertaken a research project to investigate the durability characteristics and earthquake resilience of SIPs. This presentation will briefly discuss the findings of these workstreams and put them in the context of buildings constructed in New Zealand using SIPs.
