Nicholas Stevens and Gary Lawson receive NZIA 2022 Gold Medal – Auckland architects Nicholas Stevens and Gary Lawson of Stevens Lawson Architects (SLA) have been awarded the 2022 Gold Medal by Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects. The award is considered New Zealand’s highest honour for an architect. Known for their humanist architecture, created with an innate sensitivity to how people live, experience and move in the world, architects Nicholas Stevens and Gary Lawson are the first duo to receive the award.
