A recent post from Timber Development UK focused on their final timber engineering webinar for the year – Engineering for fire safety. The webinar covered the essential principles of engineering timber structures for fire safety, and how these are being applied by practicing engineers in their building designs. Their website retains those resources for use by all fire engineers looking to learn more about their profession.
Speakers Alan Dowdall, a leading engineer, and Julie Bregulla, curator of ‘timberfiresafety.org‘, showed how to make best use of this new resource, while giving examples of completed, award-winning projects along the way. This content is available online along with more fire safety engineering content and more webinars held in 2023.
The website is supported internationally by SWEDISH WOOD, TIMBER DEVELOPMENT UK and the STRUCTURAL TIMBER ASSOCIATION, also in the UK.
