(Japan) World’s Tallest Timber Tower by Sumitomo Forestry: Exciting news from Tokyo where Sumitomo Forestry has announced plans for W350, the world’s tallest timber building, soaring to 350 meters. This 70-storey eco-friendly skyscraper, celebrating Sumitomo’s 350th anniversary in 2041, will be a mix of steel and timber, featuring a hotel, residential units, offices, and shops with lush green balconies.

Aiming to turn urban landscapes into vibrant green spaces, W350 is not just an architectural feat but also a step towards sustainable urban development. Despite the high cost, this project marks a significant shift towards timber in urban architecture, echoing Japan’s tradition and innovation.
