This week the American Wood Council issued the first-ever ANSI accredited version of the Fire Design Specification for Wood Construction (2022). This document has been updated and expanded through a consensus based committee process. The update provides valuable design provisions and requirements for fire protection of mass timber members, connections, bearing interfaces, and joints and interfaces.
